Covid-19 increases strong mobile authentication for secure digital access enabling remote working

Secure mobile authentication is a positive user experience allowing freedom in life for everyone. Over the last several months, with more organizations switching to remote work environments and with the continued increase of mobility services, we have seen a significant rise in the area of strong authentication for mobile with Smart ID Mobile App (Personal Mobile). Power Security, a Nexus partner, addressing Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) in Eastern Europe is supporting Nexus with this growth. We are thrilled to see the volume of Smart ID Mobile App authentications rising and even surpassing 1.1 million sessions in one single month as a result of Power Security and their clients.

This growth in Smart ID Mobile App usage is due to the continued work of our long-standing distributor and partner, Power Security, who is helping drive expansion in the region for the Smart ID Mobile App by translating and localizing the app and supporting with updates.

In combination with our adaptive authentication and single sign-on component, Smart ID - Digital Access platform, the Smart ID Mobile App combines strong two-factor authentication (2FA) and user friendliness with push notifications and various security layers such as fingerprint or face recognition.
