Job description

You will become part of a team with competent colleagues. As part of the introduction you will take part of an on-boarding program and meet colleagues in other departments, such as managers and product owners. As a Technical Project Manager, you work closely with Nexus IT Security Consultants, Solution Architects and collaborate with the customer’s Project Manager. In a large project you may team up with a Project manager from Nexus or a Nexus partner who will have overall budget responsibility but often you are expected to take overall responsibility for the project implementation.

Job duties

The work is varied and conducted in project form. As a Technical Project Manager you will lead various projects and have full responsibility regarding budget, resource and time planning. You will lead different kinds of projects within the IT Security area, often run in parallel and in various stages, from start-up to production launch. The projects are related to the Nordic market, varying in size and will in some cases run for a few weeks and in other several months, and in rare cases, years. It may be a question of a system development project, establishment project for a new Managed Service customer, or an on-premises installation of a security solution involving one or more of Nexus’s products.

As a Technical Project Manager at Nexus you are expected to be self-sustaining and thrive in a role where you will take the lead and responsibility for project delivery with support from your Consulting Director and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include clarification of requirements, estimation of activities, schedule management, project budget, status reporting, escalation, risk management and more.

Operational responsibility for a development team can be offered to the candidate with strong leadership skills and development background.

Requirements

You have knowledge and practical experiences of at least these areas:

  • Technical Project Management of IT projects
  • Project methods, such as PPS or similar
  • Tools for schedule management, such as MS Project
  • Tools for activity and project planning such as JIRA and Confluence

Furthermore, you are good at adopting to new technology and can ask the “right” questions. You are driven to deliver value and contribute to customer value. You thrive in a coordinating role and to communicate with multiple parties. When you have a daily communication with customers both in Sweden and abroad, we see that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, well spoken and written. A third language is an advantage such as Spanish or German.

We believe that you have at least five years’ experience in IT Project Management. Your knowledge can come either from relevant education and training and/or from previous work experiences. What is important is that you are prepared to learn and share your knowledge. If you also have experience in IT security, it is a big plus. B driving license is an advantage but not required.

In the role as Technical Project Manager you are driven to deliver value to customers. You have an ability to think strategically, setting long-term goals and see the consequences of different decisions in advance. You lead, plan, organize and prioritize your projects and the team’s daily work effectively. As Technical Project Manager, it is important that you have positive drive and also can adapt to changing circumstances and to re-prioritize when needed. We think is comes naturally to you to come up with and propose solutions and take responsibility for both your own and the organization’s goals. You work well with other people such as customers and colleagues, act respectfully and clear in your communication.
