Nexus Go enables Danfoss to strengthen security for IoT devices

We are pleased to announce that Danfoss, a leading Danish technology company focusing on infrastructure, energy efficiency and climate-friendly-solutions, has selected the Nexus Go IoT PKI to help secure their IoT devices.

Danfoss Drives, a member of the Danfoss Group, is a world leader in electrification and variable speed control of electric motors. For more than 50 years they have contributed globally to meet the need for energy-efficient infrastructure, connected systems and integrated renewable energy, with application-optimized drives and lifecycle services.  Danfoss has a wide portfolio of IoT-based solutions and products and looked to Nexus to help support them with a flexible public-key infrastructure (PKI) platform, which would allow them to keep and maintain other Certificate Authorities (CA) already in place using a central PKI. Nexus set up a customer-specific certificate authority and certificate management process enabling Danfoss to set up an offline Root CA as well as an online CA with several sub-CAs which can be used for different use-cases like securing IoT devices, Software code and releases.

Nexus GO IoT identities is a service for issuing and managing PKI certificates for secure identification of IoT devices. The service enables organizations to protect any connected device with PKI, also small and resource-constrained devices, ensure end-to-end protection within your IoT network and allows for IoT applications to be tested during the implementation phase.

Even with the challenges of Covid-19, Nexus partner Nixu was able to quickly configure and deploy the solution, fully remote, for Danfoss.
