If you've seen the recent Nexus Smart ID Winter 2020 release video, you will remember the discussion of photo handling and the hassle and headache this can cause. To help alleviate some of the things that can go wrong with photo management, we've introduced a new AI tool for our card services.
The new AI tool makes it possible to immediately see if a picture meets pre-defined requirements. In many cases, companies have photo policies in place, but complicated verification processes cause increased ordering times. Using the AI tool will save time and frustration during the ordering process as well as improve the quality of the issued identity.
When ordering cards, administrators receive immediate feedback if the photo meets the guidelines or not. For example, photos having a dark background, or if a hat is being worn, would trigger a notification, helping reduce the amount of non-compliant images. The AI photo tool makes it possible for the administrator to easily adjust the brightness and the contrast of the photo to get a perfect result for the printed card.
