Nexus Smart ID to secure European airport hub for leading international logistics company

One of the world’s leading logistics companies has selected Nexus Smart ID to modernize its legacy identity management system. This will future proof and protect its workforce identities at its European airport hub.

The new solution will cover 30.000 employees and external contractors. The solution better streamlines processes, resulting in reduced costs and increased efficiency. The solution consists of two modules of the Smart ID platform: the Physical ID module is implemented to manage the full lifecycle of the corporate identity cards, have best-practice processes for standard use cases, and utilize self-service and automated workflows. This module also enables approval steps to ensure secure issuance and full object history as well as reporting for auditing and compliance. The second module is the Physical Access module. This module enables this client to manage all physical access in one central system by synchronizing data resources and using automated processes to enforce security policies. The solution reduces duplicate identities, delays in the removal of terminated identities, and unauthorized access.

Nexus partner Softline Solutions GmbH is the main contractor. Softline's specialized security consultants will perform the system integration and implementation based on the identified requirements and optimizations.
