Fast-growing Nexus hires new country manager to bring its software to Norway
Identity and security company Nexus Group sells a lot of access control hardware in Norway, but has not yet made a push to sell its software on that market. “We have now appointed Jon Land as managing director for Norway to take our full product portfolio to the country,” says Marcus Persson, regional director Nordic at Nexus.
Swedish-owned Nexus has customers all over the globe and is growing rapidly in many markets.
“We see a tremendous potential for our software in Norway, and we have therefore hired a senior leader to execute our ambitions in the market,” says Marcus Persson.
Today Nexus has one office in Norway with 14 employees, and a yearly revenue of NOK 20 million (EUR 2.2 million).
“Our plan is to grow substantially. There are different business models we can use, for example to go through partners, and this is to be decided by Jon Land. He has the right experience and qualifications to be able to craft the details of our strategy, and to translate the strategy into reality,” says Marcus Persson.
Jon Land has had several managerial positions within the financial and ID services industries, and most recently was head of procurement and strategic partnerships at Norwegian company EVRY Card Services. He joined Nexus on November 9, 2016.
“In my position at EVRY I was a customer of Nexus, and I got to know the company well. I chose to join Nexus because I strongly believe in the company’s product portfolio, really like the team, and feel at home in Nexus’s business culture. As a customer of Nexus it always felt satisfying to interact with the company. The team is very competent in the identity field, and they always walked the extra mile to deliver what was promised. I am happy to now be a part of Nexus,” says Jon Land.
