How secure cloud management works

Are concepts such as “cloud” and “cloud management” a bit difficult to grasp? We have summarized the greatest advantages with managing your software via a cloud solution.

Gathering all of the company’s software and applications in a digital cloud is a smart way to manage  all systems in one place. This increases scalability in solutions and requires fewer servers, as the capacity can be adapted according to the volume of the cloud at a given time.

How secure then are these “clouds”?

In contrast to a stationary hard drive, with cloud storage you avoid the risk of overload, theft, or breakdown. At the same time cloud management involves other types of risks, such as data intrusion, insecure authentication, or unsafe operation.

Abolish the username

A big security risk with cloud management is authentication. Secure identity control should always be preceded by a two-step authentication with the help of, for example, employee card, fingerprint, or sms verification. This makes encroachment more difficult and gives your system an extra life insurance.

Outsource the management

Many companies choose to outsource the management of their IT-system in order to avoid having to procure and maintain their own servers. This can be less expensive in the long-term and enables the company to only pay for the actual capacity that is being used. Outsourcing means moreover continuous maintenance, constant back-up, and high security, when this is done via an established and well-recognized supplier.
