5G Cloud Security Guidance

The NSA and the DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) recently released the first in a series of guidance documents for securing 5G cloud infrastructure.

One of the key messages is that secure identity and access management must be implemented in the 5G cloud, and the key recommendations include assigning Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates from a trusted Certificate Authority (CA) and using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) where possible. The best practices issued in the guidance documents aim to bring a Zero Trust approach to 5G endpoints and growing multi-cloud environments.
